Waste Initiatives is a well established business who has been designing and supplying specialist waste management equipment and recycling systems throughout Australia for over 40 years. The company reached out to Engineroom to help modernise their brands visual identity, whilst still retaining a connection to the existing brand.
They also wanted the brand to have more strength and presence to better represent the equipment they manufacture. While Waste Initiatives brand identity was strong, the company felt that it was feeling tired, out-of-date, and was not communicating clearly who Waste Initiatives was as a business and what they had to offer potential customers.
A clear point of difference for their business was the range of products within their two categories, however they had been struggling to communicate these two distinct product categories to their market. They tasked Engineroom with creating a strong Corporate identity for the Waste Initiatives brand which encompassesd their two key sub-brands/product ranges. Engineroom needed to develop a clearly articulated brand hierarchy and architecture that successfully communicated Waste Initiatives business, and their varied product offerings to the market.
We provided comprehensive brand guidelines which gave direction on how each brand and sub-brand would be presented as a stand-alone and as part of the Waste Initiatives brand family.
Once we had defined the brand, we needed to refresh the printed marketing collateral to be in-line with the new positioning. We implemented an ownable graphic system that helped the business stand above their direct competitors.
The Waste machinery itself also needed to be updated with a new classification structure, so machines could be easily identifiable. The brand identity also rolled out across a range of different mediums including utility and maintenance vehicles, signage, uniforms and protective equipment.
The client also needed a few digital resources including an editable return on investment document, tender document, website updates and targetted digital advertising.
