Engineroom were briefed to develop a new sub-brand and packaging design for Orgran's new healthy children's Snacks - puffed potato chips. The Smaxx range was developed under the Orgran family banner. This was a first in the Orgran range.
The brief asked for a gender neutral design solution that encompassed a superhero theme that was innocent and friendly enough to appeal to all children of primary school age and their parents, but also not alienate high school adolescents.
An impactful logo was created in a cartoon style which provided powerful standout on the pack. We then created a bold packaging concept influenced by old pop art comic styles, featuring superheroes and dynamic bursts of the product. Use of strong bright colours differentiated flavours across multi-pack bags and inners.
